List of 72 CBT centres blacklisted by JAMB, and their offences

JAMB on Wednesday announced the blacklisting of 72 out of the 600 registered  Computer Based Test (CBT) centers used for the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) across the country.

Is-haq Oloyede who is the JAMB’s registrar said the blacklisting of some of the centers was due to their alleged involvement in extortion and “organized examination malpractice” during the UTME exams
premium times  obtained a full list of the affected the centers in 18 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

A review of the list shows that while 38 of them were out-rightly listed for misconducts and gross technical deficiencies, 24 of them were suspended for one year for technical deficiencies.
also 13 centers were blacklisted in Abia State, 10 in Rivers, 9 in Anambra, 6  in Akwa Ibom, 6 in Delta, and 6 in Imo.
Other affected states had between 1 and 3 centers blacklisted.
