Lady Gaga is defiant in her support of Hillary despite loss


Lady Gaga was one of the celebrities at the front line of Hillary Clinton's campaign for the White House. Trump may have won but it doesn't appear the singer is switching sides anytime soon. She was seen out and about in New York dressed in a slogan shirt that read: 'Love Trumps Hate'. She also took to Instagram to share a black and white photo of her holding up a sign that read:

President Buhari today swore in the new Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon Justice Walter Samuel Nkanu Onnoghen at the State House in Abuja. Onnoghen takes over from Justice Mahmud Mohammed who retired yesterday after attaining the mandatory retirement age of 70 years. Justice Onnoghen becomes the first southerner since 1980 to assume the position of Chief Justice of Nigeria

Nigeria’s population now 182 million-with more than half its people under 30 years of age - NPC

The Director-General of National Population Commission, (NPC) Ghaji Bello, has said that Nigeria’s population is currently 182 million as against 140 million recorded in the last census a decade ago.

Bello, who disclosed this recently in Abuja, said the latest estimate was based on the population of 140 million recorded in the last census a decade ago, using an annual growth rate of 3.5 percent weighed against other variables such as rising life expectancy and a declining infant mortality rate.

Photos: Nigerian man survives after tram derailed in Croydon, London, leaving 7 dead and over 50 injured

Seven people died and over 50 were injured after a crowded tram derailed and overturned in Croydon, South London on Wednesday, November 9th. 

The crash occurred as the tram negotiated a sharp bend in the track. Fire crews arrived at the scene and were able to free a number of people. The 42-year-old tram driver from Beckenham, was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and is in police custody. 

Court charges Bishop Obinim with assault for flogging his church members for having premarital sex

Bishop Daniel Obinim of International God’s Way Church alongside two of his aides appeared at a Circuit Court in Accra today where they were charged for committing physical abuse and abetment.

The controversial bishop was captured in a video that went viral flogging his teenage members in church for having premarital sex which led to the girl getting pregnant.
